The Tignes ski-resort is one of Europe’s top resorts, served by the vast ski area of L’Espace Killy (which is shared by Val d’Isere). Tignes offers over 300km of pistes in addition to numerous ski-schools, over 150 shops and over 100 bars! , 115 bars and a lot of off-piste.
Thanks to its altitude Tignes is one of two “snow-sure” resorts in France (according to ‘The Good Ski & Snowboarding Guide’); Val d’Isere is the other.
Getting around the Tignes resort is easy. The resort offers an efficient lifts system (with close to a hundred lifts) as well as two high speed underground trains to help you get from Tignes Val Claret to the Grand Motte Glacier (home of the ‘Panoramic Restaurant’)
L’Espace Killy is renowned for amazing off-piste complimented by good lift access. Other features include a half- pipe, as well as potential for some amazing freeriding & the 1992 Olympics downhill course should you be brave enough to try the course.
